PDFs, Round One!

We have started sending out the first round of PDFs to those of you who backed the project at $25 or higher and completed your Kickstarter survey as requested. If you have not received your PDFs by tomorrow at noon (Austin time), please contact [email protected] for support. Please do not email us before then; the server is processing thousands of accounts and updating your accounts as quickly as it can.

In this first round of PDFs, you will find:

• Melee - Box, rules, counters, and map.
• Wizard - Box, rules, reference booklet, counters, and map.
• Death Test - Box, Death Test booklet, Death Test 2 booklet, and counters.
• Melee Playmat
• Wizard Playmat
• Two poster maps from the Legacy Edition box.

Please note that these are all low-resolution PDFs and are not suitable for printing. We will continue to update the zip package over the next few weeks, adding more materials as they are completed. We will notify you when the "finished!" package is posted. We recommend holding off on printing any of the materials until we release the high-resolution, completed PDF collection.

Reporting Errors

The deadline for reporting errors on this first wave of material is Monday, September 24 at noon (Austin time). After that time, we will handle all legitimate errors and prepare the files to go to the factory. We need to submit these items to the factory on Thursday, September 27, to stick to the schedule and be in a position to ship the finished games in March.

We will post an update when the next wave of PDF materials are ready and added to the zip collection.

More Character Cards!!!

With the 75% of surveys complete and $100,000 in funding (both by October 1) goals down, we're packing even more into every Legacy Edition box! The box now includes a total of twelve character cards and four blank character cards so that you can create your own. And for those of you who have added an extra pack of character cards to your rewards, that $5 pack has expanded; please remember, the more character cards that are unlocked, the bigger the $5 add-on gets since the add-on is an exact duplicate of what goes into the Legacy Edition box. 

And with those two goals down, it is time that we reveal two more! Please share the preorder page with your friends, because preorder funding helps us unlock these new BackerKit goals. Let's keep packing that Legacy Edition box!

As Requested: Cardboard Heroes Bases and Eye-in-the-Pyramid Dice

Be sure to thank Philip and Darryll, because I had said "no, we cannot do that" to the requests that we add the Cardboard Heroes Bases andEye-In-The-Pyramid Dice to the BackerKit survey. I didn't want to ask our warehouse team to hand-sticker loose bags of bases and dice . . . and then Philip pointed out how I was wrong and that they can make this happen with less work than I thought.

To make things slightly easier on the team, we have constructed a single bundle that includes a total of 24 plastic bases and six custom d6. As with the other entirely new add-ons that are part of the BackerKit survey, these bases and dice are not included in any reward level; you'll need to select and add these to your rewards if you want them.

New Add-Ons: TFT Character Cards and Ogre

We've opened new add-ons for the project, one that you've unlocked by breaking BackerKit goals and (eight) others that have been made available after a project supporter made a reasonable request.

• The Fantasy Trip Character Card Pack - This is the eight unlocked character cards packaged in a single polybag. If more character cards are unlocked by October 1, they will be added to this pack. (And yes, this includes the blank character cards that will be unlocked if the BackerKit stage reaches $100,000 before October 1.)

• Ogre Miniatures, Second Edition . . . and more! - A selection of Ogre titles, in limited quantities, for those of you who have not yet picked up some of the newer Ogre releases and would like to include them as part of your rewards package. Please note that even though many of these are available now, any items selected in BackerKit will not ship until next year.

You may continue to add items to your survey up until we lock the project. At the moment, we're planning to lock this down on November 1, so there's time to increase your rewards package if you see something you want in your library.

We're now less than $20,000 from breaking that $100,000 goal on BackerKit. And remember, preorders also help us to unlock the financial goals, so please share the preorder page with all of your friends! Thanks!

More BackerKit Goals!

We've broken through the 50% of surveys completed and $60,000 in BackerKit funding goals before October 1, meaning that we're now adding eight different dry erase character cards (four for each of those two unlocked goals) to the Legacy Edition box. 

What are the character cards? These are ready-to-play fighters for use when you want to jump right in and start bashing opponents. You can use one these cards as your character in Melee skirmishes, or a GM could draw a card from the deck and use the character as an opponent in a larger campaign.

New Goals!

With those two goals down, we're ready to reveal the next two goals. If we can reach 75% of the BackerKit surveys completed by October 1, we'll add another four character cards to the Legacy Edition box (which would make a total of twelve cards in the set). And if we can hit $100,000 in BackerKit funding by October 1, as requested, we will add four blank character cards to the Legacy Edition box. What good are blanks? You can make your own fighters and shuffle your designs right in with the pre-created cards!

Please be sure to share the preorder page with all of your friends. Anyone was has said "I missed the Kickstarter, how can I get the game?" now has the chance to place a preorder. And, best of all, those new preorders help us unlock the project's financial goals on BackerKit . . . and we have more goals to share once these latest reveals are unlocked!
